Frequently Asked Questions

What is shilajit?

In Siberia it is known Moomiyo, meaning preserver. In India it is known as Shilajit, meaning “conqueror of mountains”, or “stone breaker”. Shilajit is a black resinous substance that seeps out of cracks on mountain rocks at extremely high elevations. It is found throughout the world in areas surrounding India, China, Tibet, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia and Scandinavia. Essentially it is the organic minerals of a compacted & composted ancient Forest which was trapped within the sedimentary layers of the mountains, as they formed millions of years ago. The immense weight and harsh temperatures cause the Shilajit to flow from the peaks during the summer months.

Showing a Ph of around 8.2, it contains a variety of rare compounds, essential amino acids, Minerals, Vitamins A, B, C & P, Phospholipids and polyphenol complexes, and terpenoids. Trace Elements include: Cobalt, Nickel, Copper, Zinc, Manganese, Chrome, Iron, Magnesium, Iodine, Selenium & More…

How do you take Shilajit?

Dissolve 250mg, about the size of a small pea, in a cup of water, tea, coffee or milk & drink once or twice a day, 15 - 30 minutes before Breakfast and Dinner.

If you weigh less than 115 pounds take 100 - 150mg.

Since Shilajit is a concentrated super tonic it is not necessary to take 100% of the time. We recommend taking a break every few months to not overburden the body with any excess. Once the cells are saturated with minerals, the results will last with you and you can then periodically take Shilajit to re boost.

It is not recommended to take for more than 6 months at a time without a break.

Use it as a facial cleanser and moisturizer! In studies, Shilajit has been proven to have the exact same bio-availability and effects, taken orally as absorbed through the skin. Simply take the same amount you would dissolve in water and rub it on your more delicate areas of skin instead. This method is excellent for assisting sore muscles, pain & injuries.

Is it vegan?

Yes, it has no animal products. However, Shilajit is primarily formed by Ammonite shell fossils, which hundreds of millions of years ago were living creatures.

What makes our Shilajit special?

We are extremely passionate about sourcing the highest quality Shilajit possible. *Latest Lab Tests showed our Shilajit had one of the highest amount of Fulvic Acid on the Market!

Our source is a family owned cooperative which supplies pharmacies in Russia. They sustainably harvest this rare resin during the summers, when it starts seeping out of the cracks on the mountain peaks. Our Shilajit is purified according to Ayurvedic tradition, using glacier lake water, then carefully sifted to remove large rocks and sediment and never heated above 103 degrees, preserving the precious raw nutrients, enzymes, minerals and unique properties.

Our Shilajit has very low moisture, providing you more Shilajit per gram. Some other companies water it down or get "Cut" watered down Shilajit.

As soon as we get a batch we send a sample out for a 3rd party Lab for analysis. We don't start selling it until we know it is perfect.

Himalayan vs. Altai Shilajit?

Some companies claim that Himalayan Shilajit is higher quality because of the altitude at which it is gathered. We did some further investigation and found that while the Altai Mountains are not currently as tall, they are 250 Million years older. Meaning the Shilajit has been picking up more and more precious Elements throughout the time it has been inside the mountains. During their lifetime The Altai Mountains were likely to have been just as tall as the Himalayas, but due to their age their tallest points have eroded. The Altai Mountains are also richer with gold, being named Altai, which translates to Gold in the native language.

Does it have side effects?

No, in clinical trials Shilajit has never been reported to cause unwanted side effects. Some people have concerns about the Iron content binding. B

What is the shelf life of Shilajt?

Raw Shilajit is similar to honey, in the way which it does not technically decay. As a safeguard we say 3 years after you open your jar, it will still be fine! Since it’s been under extreme conditions in the mountains it is very stable.

What to do if Shilajit is solid or the jar won’t open?

We recommend using a blow dryer or running hot water over the lid for a few minutes if the lid is stuck.

If the Shilajit has hardened, we recommend heating up the jar the same way and then opening it and adding a few drops of warm distilled water. This should do the trick unless the shilajit has crystalized from heat or dried out from the lid not being on tight. If it is rock hard, try breaking it up with a knife and then add the warm distilled water.
