Our source is a family owned cooperative which supplies pharmacies in Russia. They sustainably harvest this rare resin during the summers, when it starts seeping out of the cracks on the mountain peaks. Our Shilajit is purified according to Ayurvedic tradition, using glacier lake water, then carefully sifted to remove large rocks and sediment and never heated above 103 degrees, preserving the precious raw nutrients, enzymes, minerals and unique properties.
Our Shilajit has very low moisture, providing you more Shilajit per gram. Some other companies water it down or get "Cut" watered down Shilajit.
As soon as we get a batch we send a sample out for a 3rd party Lab for analysis. We don't start selling it until we know it is perfect.

Some companies claim that Himalayan Shilajit is higher quality because of the altitude at which it is gathered. We did some further investigation and found that while the Altai Mountains are not currently as tall, they are 250 Million years older. Meaning the Shilajit has been picking up more and more precious Elements throughout the time it has been inside the mountains. During their lifetime The Altai Mountains were likely to have been just as tall as the Himalayas, but due to their age their tallest points have eroded. The Altai Mountains are also richer with gold, being named Altai, which translates to Gold in the native language.

Raw Shilajit is similar to honey, in the way which it does not technically decay. As a safeguard we say 3 years after you open your jar, it will still be fine! Since it’s been under extreme conditions in the mountains it is very stable.
We recommend using a blow dryer or running hot water over the lid for a few minutes if the lid is stuck.
If the Shilajit has hardened, we recommend heating up the jar the same way and then opening it and adding a few drops of warm distilled water. This should do the trick unless the shilajit has crystalized from heat or dried out from the lid not being on tight. If it is rock hard, try breaking it up with a knife and then add the warm distilled water.
